With the namesake an homage to Austin's late and great Stevie Ray Vaughan, this light and refreshing drink is best enjoyed with shoes kicked off, poolside chilling. Using homemade lavender honey simple syrup and freshly squeezed lemon juice this summer drink sure does go down easy.
PechaKucha [ or ペチャクチャ translated as “chit-chat”] is a series of 6 minute talks from an array of people involved in the creative industry, from musicians to architects to filmmakers and everything in between. We had a brilliant time witnessing some truly inspiring speakers the other night while keeping the whiskey flowing with Nine Banded Whiskey drinks.
At the heart of Nine Banded Whiskey, we are with the makers. Moniker Guitars kindly let us into their workshop to take a glimpse behind the scenes and see the process of each of their custom guitars. We sipped whiskey and had a chat in the lead-up to SXSW.
The holiday season is about spending time with those you cherish; for us this means celebrating with friends and the Austin music family. This year we tied one on at Arlyn music studios with a soulful sing-along filled with holiday classics and original songs. This special night certainly could not have happened without our friends at Arlyn: Nine Mile Records and Onion Creek Productions.
